I received this below today. Just one word of explanation is that the "Kupat" is one of Israel's leading Medical Insurance Schemes. Can the Israelis on the list do anything about this state of affairs!!

It depends which "Kupa" you are in.

Maccabi has put homeopathy under the jurisdiction of a very strict neo kentian and whoever does not practice according to her views is blackmailed (I should know, I tried....)

Leumit' s person in charge is a so called TCM practitioner who has absolutely no idea about anything else, was describing Bach Flower Remedies as being at least 500 years old and Homeopathy as good for hysterical patients.....(I should know, I almost lynched her in public, I was forcibly restrained by an orthopedic surgeon sitting next to me...)

The 2 others I do not know.

Alternative therapies have been introduced for financial reasons, so that members do not "escape" but nobody in the administrative levels has any idea.
As one of the directors said "Shiatsu, Daihatsu, its all the same to me....."

Says it all.
Pathetic.

Rochelle,

I think every nutritionist sells a brand of products they seem to like and this is not necessarily multilevel marketing.
But even if the product is a multi-level, it does not mean that it is bad. Of course, you can go to your local
health food store and pick up the brand of your choice.

As to whether this practitioner is classical or not is another issue. And he should not be advertising himself as such
erroneously. But going to some central medical organization to complain needs some thinking. Since homeopathy
is still struggling for its place in the sun, beginning a controversy at that level may not be the best thing to do right
now. I think some serious investigation and thought should go into this
