Methods of prescribing [was: Leg ulcers]

Hi Tanya,

Do you happen to know what the rationale was in your case for taking high
potencies daily? I am aware that some (few) situations require it, and
perhaps it's not usually a problem -- but we know for certain that it's not
usually necessary (at least not for the types of prescribing I'm familiar
with and the types of cases usually seen in US?).

I wonder whether more aggressiveness might be needed (and can be applied
without risk???) if the remedy is "appropriately chosen" (discussion as to
what that might mean!) and aimed on a more local basis? I don't know
whether this is the case; I'm only trying to understand what might bring
about these huge differences in prescribing method.

Personally I would *love* to have a better understanding as to what
situations truly justify such "aggressive" prescribing; and I think anyone
who practices that method needs to be (and hopefully is) aware of what types
of situations/patients might not handle it. Can you tell us more about your
experience, if it's not too personal?

If some folks here are familiar with both "classical" method and also
"Indian" (or whatever would be the classification) and can offer insight, it
would be fascinating!
