Hi everyone

could someone please help with suggestions for itching internal. Patient has to scratch the skin to feel like she is scratching the internal itch.
Says it is driivng her crazy.
Scratches til bruises themselves. Also hot perspiration.

Does anyone come up with anything other than Nux. v?

all over the body or just limbs or just one spot?

for your consideration:

if all over the body or limbs only, consider Dolichos pruriens. this is basically a liver remedy- the cause of such an itch would be too much uribiligen in the blood.

just one spot could be a reflex or acu point to a relevant organ /meridian. relating the itch-spot to the relevant organ would be meaningful in determining rx. (eg allergy-asthma pts time to time get "itches" on lung points)
