Yes it is a pity, but, no it is not a pity. Cyrus Boger had a unique
mind. He was almost a re-incarnation of Boenninghausen. He understood
that method better than anyone else, to the point of almost being
able to explain it because his understanding was at such a deep and
intuitive level.
Boger's work, still serves us well-- as you have shown.
Were it to be upgraded who would do it? Who has the deep
understanding of the "genius" of a remedy? Would such an upgrading be
trustworthy?
Just something to think about.

Dear Julian, Dear Group,

The Boger's rep can be upgraded on these aspects to start with
1. The print quality
2. Lay out . For example, the starting of a new chapter should be
on a new page. The chapter numbered, with a thumb index. The confusion
regarding the regional aggravation should be cleared by placing them
inside the respective chapter. Presently, the font size for headers
and su headers are nearly similar.
I think the lay out has not been touched because of the page number
obsession especially when interchanging notes or a discussion as in
our list and also in colleges. There should be a first bold step by
the
printer.

3.Correction: Boger, I learn, died in the middle of his correction of
his repertory. In the chapter, sensations and complaints, under the
rubric, Reaction, poor(pg 916) TUB suddenly appears whereas there is
no
mention of tub anywhere and not also in his MM. Similarly carbn-s and
aesc find scanty mention. ( obviously he was waiting to see them
appear
in his own practice).
Whatever is available as corrections ( the actual typos given at the
end of the repertory and the suggestions of teachers such as Bhanu
Desai have to be ncorporated and new remedies and their provings
split as to their locations, sensationsregional and general, time
modality, aggravation and ameliorations (regional and general), have
to
be done. An open call should be given to eminent users of this rep
to share with their handwritten additions with clinical
justifications.

This is a tall order. Atleast this can be started with the computer
reps
where the page number problems are not a matter. Additions available
can be incorporated.I used carapro on trial and found that the section
concordances is entirely omitted. I decided against buying.

The above is a tall order. But if a synthesis can happen why this
cannot?

Regards
Venkat
