The constitutional remedy is NOT "matched top the
patient's personality." That misconception makes
homeopathy seem like voodoo, and it opens up the
whole misunderstanding that homeopathy treats
"people not diseases" and does so by looking at
the "personality."
This is complete and total hogwash.
Max had milk cravings. He had fitful sleep. He
had a bluish tint to his eye whites. He was
restless. He was stubborn. He was intense.
NONE of that is "personality." Is is ALL
**SYMPTOMS** of an illness. Just because
allopathic docs do not have a model to fit these
symptoms into and, therefore, discount them, does
not mean that they are not real. But they are NOT
the "personality."
There are lots of sweet, pefectionist, stubborn
people out there. I know a whole bunch of them.
But that "personality" is NOT what needs to be
treated!
It is the homeopaths job to understand the fine
line between pathology and health.
I just spent a whole weekend at a wood-turning
workshop. Lots of perfectionism, intensity, and
stubbornness there. Everyone was working at
various times at complete perfectionism. "That
scratch WILL come out!" NONE of it was signs of
deeper pathology. None of it needed to be treated.
Catherine Coulter (who was one of my early
teachers) made all this very clear in her books.
There is nothing to be treated if the person
likes order, dusts the shelves, organizes the
books, and keeps lists of things to do. If there
weren't *heathy* Arsenicums in the world, then
the place would certainly be a Sulphur mess! But
when THAT person gets ill, and those traits
become over-bearing-- and they lose sleep because
they are up all night trying to remove a stain
from the bathroom floor-- THEN it becomes
pathology.
Homeopathy treats *sick people*. It does not treat "the personality."
end of rant.
His name is WALLACE Sampson, and he is a
quackbuster. He doesn't know homeopathy from a
hole in the ground.
Bobby Baratz has taken the reins of the NCAHF
from Steven Barrett. Bartatz runs a hair-removal
clinic. There were a number of cases which were
brought before court in Wisconsin, where Baratz
was called as an "expert witness" and made a
complete fool of himself.
I would love, for once, to read an article about
homeopathy in a mainstream magazine in which
these two guys (or other quackbusters) were NOT
quoted.
If you want to talk about homeopathy, then quote people who have studied it.
