Goitre

Had a perimenopausal woman in today who started with a goitre about 2 months ago. She has just started on a very small dosage of thyroxin 5 days ago as her blood readings are near normal but she is bothered about the goitre. I have given her Sepia 200 as a constitutional (just started hot night sweats, over weight, loves thunderstorms, loves swimming feel attuned with the water, loves dancing, loves chocolate, favourite colour purple /blue some Sepia m and e ) . She is usually very warm blooded but of late has cold extremities. Underneath this layer is probably Cimic as she kept mentioning the "black cloud depressions " that have plagued her all her life although the last was probably a year ago.
When I looked at my college notes it appears that Sepia is good for thyroid complaints that come on perimenstrually and to give the combination Rx iodine/fucus/thyr in 3x daily to begin with. Has anyone ever used this? I told her to start taking kelp tablets. She said she will contact her GP and ask if she can stop the thyroxin(25mcg) immediately and try homeopathy first.
