Can anyone suggest rubric(s) to suit this? She gets this bellyache every
now and then, pretty much whenever she's not feeling well; it seems to be
always just the same, and I *cannot* figure out how to rep it (the location,
that is)!

pain across belly -- a strip covering abt an inch above and inch below
navel, extends from one side midline to the other. "Like if you get
punched, a sort of aching." Worse from motion and/or standing (she feels
better and feels less discomfort lying down).

There is Abdomen, pain, extending across + pain from ilium to ilium + pain
abdomen left to right + pain, abdomen hip to hip (before menses) + pain,
abdomen, sides, right to left - then cross reference with the modalities and
type of pain. You don't say whether it is right to left or left to right,
perhaps it is a mixture of both.

Wow, thankyou Joy, I'll peruse those.
It is neither left to right nor right to left -- it's simply a "half-band"
(not a "band" I assume, as it doesn't go around the back?), seems to appear
at just the same place each time, full-blown.

Hi Alva,

Her bellyache is not at all "terrible" tho, and it doesn't seem intense
enough to suit either pyrog (at least not the usual presentation) or
bryonia. It's more of a mild-to-moderate annoyance -- well, sometimes
beyond "annoyance", but doesn't sound nearly as intense as what you're
describing. Tho her constitution is pretty crummy and she tends to
"smoulder" rather than throw a good, honest acute...

Where are the journal excerpts you're thinking of?
