itchy/tingly torso

Dear all,
My 16 year old son tells me that for about a week his torso has been
itching, though without visible erruptions of any kind. He said it happens at
rest -- sitting or in bed, not moving. He said it feels like an itch/tingle.
Scratching doesn't help. He hasn't changed his diet, he says. His school
sport is wrestling, and it's freezing here in Massachusetts, so his skin is
getting pushed and pulled and chilled.
I found conium for itching with tingling and for scratching aggravates,
but the mentals are so not him -- he's in very good shape mentally, excellent
grades, gets leadership awards, is really funny, basically considerate
He's been given agaricus by a homeopath as a "constitutional" -- it also
has a lot of itching, we could try another dose (we dose periodically).
He also has been taking Adderall (dexadrine) for symptoms of ADD. He SO
doesn't need it, but he's at a school that caters to kids with learning
challenges, and he saw a lot of his peers taking Adderall, so he asked his dad (not
me) to take him to get evaluated for it. So they went to a psychiatrist, and
Jake asked for Adderall (described symptoms), so the guy gave him Adderall
(that what psychiatrists do -- prescribe drugs). He's on a very low dose, has
taken it weekdays for about a month and a half, says he can concentrate better.
Under side effects of Adderall on the net, I found red, itchy skin rash, but
Jake says he has no erruption. Maybe the beginnings?
Anyway, we could try eliminating Adderall for a week or so.
Thanks very much for your thoughts.

Best,
Margaret in Boston
