Lecture from Janet Snowden on Kingdoms- Animal Plant Mineral

Eyes important

How they respond to you

Gestures- everything they can't explain is important
A person who needed wolf was pawing with hands, talked about making tracks, throat stuff.
You are what you are but in an acute you may need something else.
Plant

No more sensitive than M and A. It's reactivity - they over-react. They are very responsive to their environment. Puls may blow in the wind but make sure they are caught. Cyclamen - is tough. Plants pop up anywhere - they are tough. You don't know how deep down the roots go. Can be manipulative. Plants do not grow in straight lines. They are chaotic.

They come in and tell you about something and then switch to something else. There are a lot of different themes to their pathology. Their language is of the emotions- always hurt or excited about something. They will often talk about how they are affected by the environment. The clothes they were will be mixtures of things. E.g. flowers with striped trousers. They dressed to be attractive because they like to be attractive- it is an innate wish to be attractive. Describe their symptoms in terms of pictures but this is not exclusively plants. Nux Vom - drive to succeed and ambition but they over react.
Minerals

Are concerned with their self worth- need to see their self worth through their jobs. The structure comes naturally to them so they won't talk about it. Their notes are in files and they time watch. They tell you about jobs and relationships - this is their structure and will give it to you in sequence and even the dates and only have one or two themes to their case. Their clothes usually match and they dress smartly. Sulphur will think he has dressed smartly. A mineral dresses smartly to fit in with others.
Animals

Most interesting as they have to survive. It's about competition and conflict. Animals need to survive. There are victims as well as aggressors. This is passive aggression. The language is hierarchy - therefore talk about being put down, someone is putting him in his place. The language is to do with battle.

They need to be attractive to get a mate is more pronounced. It's being more attractive than the next person because the scarce resource is man.

Dress is more provocatively.

Milks are animals ,as are nosodes.

Birds- can look like plants as the competitive nature is not there. They can dress to be attractive. They are often very fine featured, small boned. Their eyes dart to the side. They are different from other animal Rx because they fly. They can look like plants.
(Janet says that if she uses a nosode like Carc she thinks she has failed to find the correct Rx as she reckons it is too broad and will only help for a while. She doesn't believe that people go from one Rx to another. She does Holy Grail Prescribing except in acutes and she looks on hormonal imbalances during peoples lives as acutes.)
Nat Mur also uses language of emotions like a plant as the centre of their pathology is emotional hurt. But they will talk about their position within the family
Imponderables are in a class of their own.
Relationships

Plant - talks of how the relationship is affecting him

Animal- in relationships they have to be one better than another person, also revenge.

Mineral - the relationship validates who they are. They need confirmation of this.
