They promise you health and happiness, but many alternative therapists do not obey even basic safety rules

I didn't mean I agreed with all in the article.
I posted it as an example of a not so hot report and then added my concerns
which were also somewhat reflected in the article.

I agree with you, however my experience over 25+ years being in the
'holistic' field, 20 years studying homeopathy, many many years researching
vaccine dangers and referring vaccine damaged children for homeopathy these
last 5 years, have shown me similar to what he saws in his review.

I AGREE totally about allopathic medicine and the MESS IT IS.
But doesn't mean we have to be a mess too.
In the US Allopathic Medicine is now the #1 cause of death
No, probably, the dangers are not the same, but:
1. problem if someone has more illnesses created by repetition of remedy
as JW said and I also see
2. time is wasted and could have been cured by someone else (they become
incurable in time spent or die)
3. homeopathy suffers in reputation & people who could have been cured or
helped are not
4. forces people to then seek allopathy which does them in

Comments below
true, but my experience also confirms what he says
this happens much of the time and if they do take a history, don't
understand what it means anyway
I don't agree this is necessary. Allopathy is just one modality and NOT
LORD OF ALL
not go

Certainly don't agree with this..............I think people need to take
responsibility for the choices they make as far as practitioners go.
Everyone has to educate themselves nowadays about what makes a quality
practitioner.

per

And with homoepathy we certainly know 2 months is often not enough time at
all.
per

I don't agree with his criteria, but I also see problems.
GPs

dont' agree
DON'T agree needs regulation, necessarily as that doesn't work for
allopaths, now does it
and so do allopaths

about

licensing doesn't protect anyone but the person licensed - protectist for
their little club
and it isn't so much the substances as it is the practitioner
possibly but again people have to take responsibility to educate themselves
as to what makes a quality practitioner
DOUBT that will be the case
They only protect LARGE CORPORATE PROFITS

And why should they? Do allopaths provide information to a homeopath
without us asking.
Its apples and oranges

i understand your points and they are well taken. but i still have a problem with
holistic healing being singled in a major mainstream article. the tactic is all part
of the sensationalization of a problem that is not unique to this particular field of
practice. for the record, i am not taking a position against improving homeopathic
practice--i do not want to be put into that kind of a trick bag.

i will say that in the usa there is little chance of homeopaths contacting allopaths for
records of pts since there is no legality in the great majority of states. i have in the
past contacted psychotherapists who indicated a willingness for open co-operation.
however, they were very one-sided in their perspective and were willing to only give
their side. i would also say that practitioners of many other holistic prototcols would
feel the same way.

i just feel the need to reiterate the position that while we may want to do what we can
to improve our own professional practice, i also think we need to be prepared to
criticize allopathic type studies that only focus on the negatives of holistic practice
