A useful source of info on election alternatives is appearing now and then
on www.zmag.org open the ZNET page for articles written by independant
journalists. They are working on a section for the coming election with lots
of articles about "alternative" candidates. There are also many links so
worth a browse.

I completely agree, we are not much of a "democracy" at the moment,
with
worse apparently in the works.
Some of the non-voting is simply because there is no acceptable
candidate,
and no evident basis for preferring one over the other. It's not
necessarily due to apathy. (Tho sometimes is, of course.)
