Minutus

My son gets much more one-on-one attention than a half hour in the
morning and afternoon. He is an only child right now, having
come from a family of 4 plus assorted cousins and neighbours. He had
not bonded to his birth mother, but he bonded right away to
me -- he needed to, I would say. And that is all great. Amazingly
great!

As JW says, what's to fix? Well, since his bout with fever/sore
throat/or was it flu?, he has had a stuffy nose, with no particular
peculiarities/characteristics to rep from. If he could just blow his
nose, he would probably clear out his sinuses and be done with it,
but I and others have tried to teach him to blow his nose (in
English, Urdu and Punjabi, in many ways, with props and games and
demonstrations) but to no avail. He'll get it eventually. So with
no particular character to this nose thing, I was hoping that a twang
with his constitutional would clear it up as well as bring more
balance to his whole system (can you have too much balance?)
including getting a little balance on the talking thing.

I do recognize that Mama's ears are part of that problem. ("Oh, but
the smell -- I couldn't bear it!" said a gentleman about keeping
pigs, but that is the fault of the man, not the pig.")

I didn't imagine there would be such a rubric! Ha! Thank you! I was thinking it was just that he is only four years old. At what age do
children generally learn to blow their nose, anyway?

I don't know for sure what is a normal age in general for kids to learn to blow their nose, but my three boys all learned to do it when they were about two - two and a half years old. Most of their friends and cousins seem to be able to do it more or less successfully around the same age.

I remember trying to blow my nose when I was a kid and it hurt me, so I
never did it again and that was 40 years ago.

Tomorrow I am off with Phil for my beach holiday of 3 days! I have 2
of my horsey students staying at home to feed and horse-sit. Today I
am helping one of them with her ground driving of her youngster and
giving a few other tips while working on my own baby (Riley) that I'm
also breaking in so that they can watch and learn.

Eeegads...the rain has just started coming down sudden and hard again
I was trying to get all my washing dry to take with me for our
trip . Phil is away down at Bellingen (near Coffs Harbour)
about 3 hrs drive and they were looking to have minor flooding there,
so hopefully he makes it home. Not good beach weather!

This joke came to me from another practitioner and I can really
relate to this story...reckon you galz could too .
