ILLEGAL to give internet or email advice on health.............

Hi Julian,
My observation -- most of us are "taking it" because we are blissfully
unaware of what's happening and/or have no idea what to do about it. I've
seen no newspaper discussion about the Patriot Act -- are there any New York
Times readers on who can tell me whether or not that paper has covered it at
all?
The "selectivity" of news coverage is getting positively eerie. E.g., when
WTO was being picketed and etc., e.g. in Seattle a month or so back, I did
not see or hear anything about that at all, except the occasional burble on
NPR (public radio). What very few references were made in the "mainstream"
news gave the impression that it was only a few reactionary nuts out there
-- but apparently that's not the case at all.
I have heard *nothing* in the "mainstream" news about the issues related to
supplements' legality and availability -- except when something has been
withdrawn, and they do occasionally mention how more and more Americans are
using alternative health care practitioners and vitamins and what-not. So
given all that, wouldn't it also be newsworthy that these rights are under
attack? Argh...
