I have a client traveling to South Africa who is concerned about malaria.
Any prevention suggestions? Any recommendations from list members as to
what kind of travel kit would be useful?

Nat mur is meant to be for prevention of malaria. The New Scientist had an
interesting article on conventional medicine testing and using the herb
'Artemisia annua' for the prevention of ALL types of malaria and it reported
fantastic results the article was around Oct/ Nov this year. This herb is
usually sold as a herb for diarrhoea for travelling. Unless the person
suffered from constipation it could cover all possible problems of
travelling to lands with bad water and potential gastro! .

From "A Handbook of Homoeopathic Alternatives to Immunisation" by Susan
Curtis:
Malaria 30c (nosode) once a week in high risk areas - continue for four
weeks after leaving the high risk area
and
China Officinalis 6c take once a day for the other six days of the week -
continue for two weeks after leaving the high risk area
I would advise the traveller to start the regime a week before they are due
in the high risk area.
