Hi all,
I've been reading the posts about Oscillo. I buy the small, one-dose
tubes of Oscillococcinum (no h, at least in the states) that come in a 6-pack,
made by Boiron. In Robert and Judith Reichenberg Ullman's book, Homeopathic
Self-Care, it's listed under Flu on page 173. The Ullmans say it's made from
duck liver and heart, it's used best at the first stages of flu. But other
symptoms they list include a symptom of OCD, compulsive hand-washing. It does
work for this -- my friend used it with her mom. This was discussed on
lyghtforce at least a couple years ago, which is how I was alerted to Oscillo for
early flu and for OCD.

Those who does water dosing, do you use water dosing with oscillococinum? Why is the instructions is to take a whole tube as one dose? Isn’t that excessive?

Because the tube has other substance to seem like it has more product... there are sugar granules in there too......

Water dosing is fine. You always need to monitor and re-dose as needed anyway.

I put some pellets in a dropper bottle and give a few dropper-fulls as often as needed. I succuss the bottle between doses.

Its called plussing.

Hi Jaime,
The pillules in the Oscillococinum are very tiny. However, I remember very well my Homoeopath in California once sent me a remedy with the same size pillules and he sent me literally ‘3’ of those tiny pillules. Honestly, if I were to take some Oscillococinum, based on my past experience, I would only take a few and not the whole bottle. JMHO.

Thank you for your question. I’m going to work on it today and I’ll send out the results soon. I hope to answer your question.

In any case you would never take a whole vile of remedies. It would not hurt you. But it’s a needless waste.

Many years ago, last century, I attended a seminar sponsored by Boiron, where they gave us one tube of Oscillococcinum.

Inevitably, someone asked "what is the does for a child?"; their answer: "Half a tube, which is half the dose for an adult"

I said then: well, I take 5 little pills, put them in a litre of water for the whole family to take as needed".... gasp and horror, "It will never be enough, too diluted.." etc... Then I asked "You are diluting it 200 times 1 in 99 (200 x 15) and it is working. But now you are telling me that one more dilution step will not work???"

You know what: Boiron never invited me any more.... I wonder why... and I still have that tube 80% full...
