Been seeing flu cases since late September in Wi-Mn. Two different types:

24-36 hour: starts with sharp one-sided headache, nausea, sometimes loose
stool or diarrhea and then vomiting on a repetitive schedule, such as every
hour for 8-10 hours. Intense thirst after vomiting. Chills.
Phos helped these.

Head cold: Starts with very runny nose, clear, excoriating, head congestion.
Goes to very sore throat, can hardly swallow, and then to chest, congestion.
Extreme fatigue, At least one day of sadness/depression. Discharges change
from clear to thick yellow and bloody. Hard cough with tickle in throat to
tickle producing hoarse/loose cough, sometimes with expectoration.
Ars and Spongia helped these. Some needed drosera instead of spongia.

Do you see more patients than usual with severe flu and secondary
illnesses? Also, do you see people who have taken the vaccine get
the flu anyway?

At first, reports of the children who died showed that these were
children who already had some susceptibility issues, but I haven't
heard much lately about that.

I co-ordinate a study group near Ft. Lauderdale. For this month's
meeting we're going to review some flu remedies, so I appreciate the
input from everyone about the Sx's.

Hi Ruth,

Saw more early cases of flu this year (50+) compared to previous years (this
is my seventh year of practice.) The recovery period has been longer but I
haven't seen my clients getting secondary illnesses. Family members of some
of my clients did get the flu vaccine and they still got the flu, in a
couple of cases that I am aware of, those vaccinated were much more ill with
the flu and all with in seven days of the vaccination.

Lynn,

Permit me to comment on these two types of 'flu'. You were not dealing with
flu, I don't think. The first one is a stomach type virus, and the second
is a head cold.

We need to take a look at the medical definition of INFLUENZA. Here is what
they write about it:
How does the flu differ from a cold?
Although often confused with the common cold, influenza is more severe
and potentially poses a greater health risk. Every year, an estimated
17 million to 50 million cases of influenza are reported nationwide ‹
many of which occur in otherwise healthy people.

Similar to the common cold, the flu can produce respiratory symptoms,
such as runny nose, coughing, and sore throat. However, the influenza
virus typically causes more intense symptoms, such as sudden onset of
fever, chills, headache, and muscle aches in adolescents and adults.
Unlike symptoms of the common cold, the fatigue and cough caused by the
flu can last up to 2 weeks ‹ long after other symptoms subside.

The table below shows the difference in symptoms between the common
cold and the flu.

If we are prescribing based on the individual's symptom picture, than
calling something by a name (flu, head cold, etc.) is useless. If, however,
we are dealing with Influenza, let's pay attention.

This is especially important because by calling a head cold "FLU" and by
calling a stomach virus (or digestive symptoms) "FLU" we are playing right
into Big Pharma's fear mongering, and possibly helping to create the
impression that there is an 'epidemic' going on, which may encourage vaccine
pushing.

Hi Lynn,

Thanks for the clarification, this is a didactic issue, of course. We all
have experienced the incredible improvements that our clients experience
with the little remedies...

PS: This email of yours only came to me privately, you may want to send it
to the list.

Cheers
