unconditional love

I would appreciate some ideas on a case that centres around the spiritual
love in the mother daughter relationship. The predominating hurt is around
repeated abandonment and
abuse (I love you, I love you not, you live with me and I love and abuse
you, you live with someone else, they abuse you also and you are homesick).
Anger, hurt, rejection, isolation, betrayal, hopeless, alone, (abuse started
before birth as client was product of adultery and mother received ECT
whilst pregnant)

In the past anger has been expressed with extreme physical and verbal
violence. Through therapy it has reduced to emotional outbursts of yelling
hateful, resentful comments.

The remedies coming to my mind are a mix of Sepia Lach Med, sea/animal maybe
Medusa? other ideas include Nat fluor, Lacs, Carbon series, Carbo animalis?
Rhus glabra, (with Anac (marked issues of dual identity), Stram (violent
fascination with knives) in earlier life),
aversion to sex as for her sex is about power of withholding versus
vulnerability of giving sex (history of abuse).
Emphasis on throat - feeling of blockage, swelling of cervical glands, fear
of suffocation, yet likes pressure on the neck - wears scarf, plays with
throat, presses glands in. Loves performing, creative, sensual, attractive,
but also fear of failure (mainly as a mother), fear of dying alone,
critical, analytical of others thoughts and her own, industrious, jealous,
envious of others happiness in relationships, religious, observed (the
fishbowl). All complaints better open air. Dreams of being in concentration
camps and having to give sexual favours to get out. Food - salads, olives,
spicey. Feels the cold easily, feet and hands cold.

I feel that the spiritual basis of the "sea as the womb of mother earth"
resonates with the deeper spiritual healing that this client is looking for,
but I do
not have enough information to understand where these remedies stand in this
aspect.

Main issues for the client are the spiritual unconditional love between
mother and self, self and daughter - healing the anger, feeling at one with
self, connection of head with heart, connection with family, being accepted,
acknowledged and connecting with the love that others have for her.
Asthma, mucous in throat/tongue - worse morning, eczematous itching and
swelling of left foot, flakey skin inside ear causing itching. Want of self
control around anger. Feeling of suffocating, being overwhelmed by life
events, hypervigilance, fear of losing control. Feeling of emptiness felt in
lower abdomen. Triggers of Christmas and holidays causing her to crash
mentally and emotionally (times for family connection which is missing from
her life).

I look forward to your ideas.

Think about STAPH it has the three pictures of abused self abuse and abused
and matches your physical SX for your patient?

Thanks Liz
I've always thought of Staph as suppressed. This client has always
expressed anger, since childhood she has been unable to suppress it, and has
described herself as an open book around her abuse. She is however stuck in
the cycle of resentment which is expressed in a fairly self-centred way, to
the detriment of those around her, but not sure if the "indignance" of Staph
is expressed. Also, how does Staph relate in the afinity for the mother
daughter triangle that the client feels is so important to her?

Tessa concentrate on what is the main theme in the case OR another way to
put it is what ties all the aspects together. The answer when I look at it
is a cycle of abused and abuser. Staph may be suppressed BUT they also
indulge in abuse and anger that is UNCONTROLLABLE that they then inflict on
to others. Read Sankaran on STAPH. The other key is the need she has to hold
onto and control the people around her. That is STAPH ? hope this helps.Liz

Tessa,

When you say ' The predominating hurt is around repeated abandonment
and
abuse' the rubric that comes out strongly is- ailments from, old
disappointments.
This strong causative cannot be ignored. Natm is the capital letter
Rx here.
At the mental level, every Natm characteristics are present.
Envy,seething
anger, mortification . Natm is a brooder.

The other choice rubric, is despair, miserable existence from- sepia.
Sepia has mental sx amel in open air, is generally chilly, averse to
sex,
(has a comparing mindset, as I have seen in a sep patient, and which
was
neutralised after the rx). The hypervigilance in equivalent rep
languge will be carefulness, where sep is present.
Sep is censorious.
In particulars, accumulation of mucus in throat is natm & sep. flaky
skin
is definitely sep

This is a case bordering on hysteria ( or already ?)

Somedays back there was a posting in the list about giving a short
theme for a case and then start to hunt for the rx. Here, will'
Helpless and angry despair about past' be apt ?
