Dear Joy,
I've been reading in Murphy's MM that this remedy can be used for
morning sickness and also for retained placenta.
As morning sickness is usually an early pregnancy issue, does the
potencised remedy carry any risks for inducing an unwanted abortion? The
pain symptom picture appears very specific so I realize that you
wouldn't use it unless everything matched . but is it a remedy to
consider or is it better to use another remedy to be safe considering
the emmenagogue properties (which I'm thinking would be strongest in a
herbal formula anyway so do they come across in the potencised remedy?).
You've given some nice mental symptoms to note into my books.

Can anyone name some other remedies from the family of Malvaceae? I find
mention of hibiscus, okra, baobab, balsa, and cocoa (so chocolate would be
one???). Sounds like an interesting family!!!

Dear Shannon, yes chocolate is one, plus also Abroma augusta; Abelmoschus;
Kola nut; Tilia cordata and Tilia europaea - this is because the Malva
family now include the Tilias and Sterculiaceae families.

And nearly all of these are completely unfamiliar to me! But that theme of
"separation and estrangement" interests me. I have some info on chocolate,
but if anyone has interesting info on the mentals of any of these, I'd be
