Dear Rochelle, I meant also to add that stents are often coated with a slow
release antibiotic (Sirolimus/rapomycin) and the iodine used in the
procedure can also cause allergic reactions. This poor guy had had some
awful medications of which many he could be allergic to.

I hope also you are taking his heart condition into account, not only from a
potency/remedy reaction point of view but also about incorporating it into
the case analysis. Were his arteries hardened or blocked and do you have any
details about the condition before the angioplasty. Apologies if you have
already posted about this before.
