Few months ago, our Honourary sub editor of the news magazine (Ninja Monthly) who is a famous homeopath, visits our office ones in a month, arranged an international homeopathic seminar. He also requested famous homeopaths of the world to participate in the seminar. He also offered them he will bear all the expenditures of the foreign delegates in Pakistan. 3rd International Educational Homeopathic Seminar
Held at: District Council Hall - Gujrat
On 16th September 2003
Organized By IHMA, Gujrat State
3rd International Homeopathic Seminar was held in District Council Hall Gujrat on 16th September 2003 under the supervision of IHMA (Islamic Homeopathic Medical Association) District Gujrat. PHS (Pakistan Homeopathic Society) and HWS (Human Welfare Society) incorporated with IHMA in organizing this beautiful educational seminar.
The topic of the seminar was "Health Challenges and Homeopathy". The main purpose of the seminar was to create awareness among the general public about homeopathic system of medicine and also to suggest ways and means to coop with the health challenges which world human community is facing.
The speakers presented various suggestions to tackle health challenges with the most advanced and curative system of medicine i.e Homeopathy. The speakers said homeopathy is the cheapest system of the world which can easily handle the health problems which people of the world are facing. The medicine of homeopathy is safe and highly effective.
Some 350 homeopathic doctors, civil geneteries and high goverment officials attended the seminar. The president of IHMA Prof Dr. Ghulam Mustafa (Sargodha City) was the chairperson. Some of the renowned personalities who attended the seminar were Prof. Dr. Ikram Ansari (Gujranwala City), Dr. Jamil (Gujranwala), Dr. Aslam (Lahore), Prof Dr. Zaidi, (Principal Mandi Bahuddin Homeopathic College), Prof Dr. Hassan Akhtar (Principal, Millat Homeopathic College), Prof Dr. M Arshad (Principal Gujrat Homeopathic College), Prof Dr. Fida Hussain (Tahir Homeopathic Medical College) and Prof Dr. Sabir Hussain Shah.
Prof Dr. Rafaqat (President of National Council for Homeopathy, Azad Jammu and Kashmir), Dr. Hafiz Mati (Veterinarian Lalamusa City), Dr. Majid (Sarai Alamgir), Dr. Rafaqat (Kharian City), Dr. Shahid (Jhelum City), Dr. Tariq Saleem (Daulat Nagar), Dr. Aamir Shahzad (Gujrat) and Medical Officer Dr. Ansar (Jalalpur Jattan City) expressed their views.
Dr. Khalid Saboor, Dr. Ikram and Dr. Sabir presented their papers with video clips and viewgraphs slides. The world renowned homeopathic doctors and Naturopath sent their paper and email, audio and video messages. The audio and video messages were merged during the live video coverage through out the state which was telecast by City Cable Network System. This was the first ever live homeopathic seminar of the world which was seen by million of spectators live through cable network.
Dr. MAS (Jhelum City) was the host who took interviews and recorded the views of the common people and medical professions about the homeopathic system, people of the region watched the seminar proceeding live.
FM 105 www.awaz105.com radio of the state also recorded interview of Dr. MAS, Dr. Azhar Iqbal Cheema (President IHMA, Gujrat) and Dr. Adil Sharif (President HWS). FM 105 announed the event two days earlier. The IHMA ( www.pchmch.com monthly megazine will print the written messages which the organizing committee have recieved for the seminar.
Mrs. Safia Javed Choudhry (Member Parliament Punjab State Assembly), Mrs. Aamir (Member Parliament Punjab State Assembly), Mrs. Khateeja (Member Parliament Punjab State Assembly), Mrs. Shahana Farooqi (Chief Coordinator Social Services) and Mian Haroon Masood N/Nazim District Gujrat were the special Guests. The EDO and DHO (District Health Officer) were also among the guests. The president of Habib Bank Limited, The principal of Ajmeri College of Commerce and Chief Executive Alfalah Bank were awarded appreciation shields for their services rendered for homeopathic System.
Dr. Azhar Iqbal Cheema (President of IHMA Gujrat) in his speech demanded the N/Nazim and Lady MPA's to open a free homeopathic dispensary for the poor and needy people. The Councilor of Union Council 49 announed that if Mian Haroon Masood (Chief Guest) give recommendation for the dispensary then he will provide space and building free of cost. The chief Guest announced the approval of a free Dispensary which was also recommended by Health Minister of the Punjab during the meeting with the Homeopathic delegate at Lahore. Dr. Azhar Cheema very happily announed that he will provide all medicines free of cost for the dispensary. The duties was assigned to Dr. MAS to workout a plan to open a homeopathic medical college in the state under the supervision of the government. Dr. MAS in his speech said I am not the executive member of any association because I want to work with all organizations which want to work for the betterment of homeopathy and not for taking political advantages. He said health minister of the punjab has already approved the establishment of homeopathic medical college and he has already received the letter from him. Now its time to work together because one cannot do anything alone. Success hides in unity and team work. He briefed the audience about the progress and meeting with punjab health minister. He also said on 26th of October a free medical camp will be held in sarai alamgir. He requested all doctors to spare time and attend that camp. He said Punjab Health Minister is also expected at camp. Dr. Majid (who is also the member of this board) is the camp organizer.
In the end award ceremonies was held. The chief guest awarded shields of excellence to prominent homeopathic doctors. He also announed Excellence certificate from Q C&A Medical College (IOU recognised, Srilanka) to world renowned homeopaths and three lady MPAs (Member Punjab Assembly) for their contribution in the field of homeopathy. Organizing Committe of the seminar was also awarded shield of appreciation for organizing such a wonderful and informative annual seminar.
Different pharmacies set up their stall and distributed free samples of homeopathic potencies and products.
Dr. Adil Sharif and Dr. Zahid Bashir (Gen Secretary IHMA Gujrat) were the stage secretaries. While Dr. MAS served the duty of Chief Coordinator of the programe very effectively. At the end of the seminar the participants were awarded with participation certificate and heavy lunch was served.
