High Blood Pressure/Diet/Off topic

Post by john twigg »

Okay Nancy, this is not homoeopathy, but I will mention it anyway. Mine was
a total abstention from wheat so I had to satisfy myself with the
replacement, which for me was the rye crackers/wafers (a few types are now
available) with butter. To replace a sandwich meal I have six of the
crackers and spread on humous (2), pate (2), herb cheese(2). I wet this
(dry) meal with red peppers and cucumber - and I really do enjoy it. I can
point out that there was no other change to my habits and intake that could
have dropped the blood pressure readings.

Many years back I did the same thing, but I used rice crackers for my
substitute. (Kind of a funny-looking sandwich, but tasty enough after the
initial shock...) For me the benefits were effortless weight loss, and --
voila! -- a brain that finally started to work.

I gather that wheat can cause lots of problems, for many people. Ironic...

Hi John,

I know its not homeopathy, but I appreciate the suggestions anyway! Thanks
for sending them along, as well as for offering your reassurances.

Nancy
