This morning I saw an article in the Hindu(
www.thehinduonline.com)
in the health section, that an extract from the chinese herb quingho
is a 100% effective medicine against malaria which has backing from
WHO and funded by bill gates also. Whereas quinine, applied
allopathically has a 40% success rate, this is 100% effective and
works even in the complicated cerebral versions.
Any chinese homeopath here? Can this herb be potentised and proved ?

Venkat

What's the botanical name? (It's not by any chance the same as ginko, is
it?)

Hello Venkant, I went to the website of The Hindu newspaper and could not
find the article. Is it possible for you to mail to the list the link for
that page?

A small correction - the chinese name is qinghao. It was developed in
the sixties by the chinese docs for the Vietnamese troops to combat
malaria based on ancient chinese writings dating back to 340 BC. The
chinese in the 80s revealed a part but the WHO wasn't satisfied but
now under the commercial name 'artequin' it is will be marketed at
about 1.7 pounds for a course.

Hello,
Quingho is a species of ARTEMESIA. It has been imported to Africa and is
being promoted among the herbalists. I will be getting it into my herbal
garden soon.
At the moment I forget which species of Artemesia it is. I can find that
out this week. You can probably get that from web searching. I do know that
it is NOT of any of the published homeopathically proven
artemisias. (unless very recent)

Dear Dhiru,
I also tried to get the text copied but what I saw in the newspaper
was not in the web version. Then I saw that the copyright was that of
the telegraphs ltd possibly of UK. But you will get more info in WHO
website.
