Hi everyone,

Hoping you had a good weekend.

If you look at the remedy Rose Damascena you will find it is suited to
Hay Fever and other Allergies, including catarrhal symptoms.

I have been using this remedy for 5 months now in Mother Tincture and to
my surprise, time and time again it has worked wonders of Acne and
facial spots. The fascinating thing is that I had not read anywhere that
it was of benefit for Acne, hence my joy and delight.
Particularly I have found it useful in the following:

1. Facial Acne of teenagers
2. Pre Menstrual Acne
3. Dark Blotchy skin
I was also pleased to note that in 75% of my patients it lightened their
skin. For me this proved invaluable because 80% of my patients are
either Indian or Pakistani and it seems they always asked for whether
anything was available to lighten one's skin. :).

Anyhows, I have tried this remedy to great effect.

What worked for me was to apply the MT directly on the affected spots
with a cotton bud(not near the eyes) but cheeks, chin, temples,
foreheads and also take 10 drops in a half a glass of luke warm water
twice daily - morning and last thing at night.

It seems to have worked very well.

And to top that, the remedy smells exceptionally fragrant - :)

So far I have treated about 25 patients for acne of varying kinds.

But do remember that you must also treat the underlying cause. Remember
it takes about 3 weeks of regularity before one see's results. But the
results will only help a deeper underlying problem.
Anyhows, if anyone does have further information on it, I would
appreciate.

I obtain my MT from the UK.

Dear Atiq, the Rose (in its many forms) has a history of being used as a
liver remedy, so maybe that is why it helps to rid the body of toxins which
might develop into acne. And in the 'language of flowers' it carries the
meaning 'beautiful complexion'. Maybe this is another remedy which could do
with a new proving.

Best, Joy

As I said in the post I was referring to the historical use of this rx, i.e.
beyond homeopathy, mainly herbal. Also Eustachian catarrh and Tinnitus is as
high ranking for this remedy as hay fever is (Farrington). We know little
else about this remedy so it is not correct to 'slimline' its applications.

How on earth did you think of using it for acne? Where do you get your MT from?

I actually have a friend come homeopath come pharmacist who makes these
up for me. I also request certain items that made specifically to my
requirements.

I would be able to supply the Rose to you.

Actually I was having a discussion with someone on this and we realised
that 100 years or so ago this was being used for Acne. It was a
community remedy and it only came to light through this discussion.

Interesting too. And it smells great :)

One I use is Rosa Mosqueta in oil which is brilliant for scar tissue. This is Rose Hips. the only companies I can get it from now are Rio Health and in a combo oil from Barefoot Botanicals.
