peculiar symptom - ingrowing hairs

I originally asked this question just as an exercise in sharpening
repertorization skills. It was not a core symptom, although it did seem
really peculiar (odd??), and struck me as an indication of miasmatic
influences. In fact, this patient has progressed dramatically in overcoming
severe OCD over two years using snake remedies (first Crot-c then Cench),
but we were reaching a place where progress had stagnated, and I was
beginning to re-analyze the case to select a new remedy and direction, as
both he and I would like to see him reach a place of real peace and health.
There are very few physical symptoms in this case, so each one needs to be
used somehow as confirmation. The physicals are strongly sycotic, which I
believe this one is as well, and the emotional state now indicates Thuja
quite clearly, going back to a distinctly earlier state than the OCD
represented. It was fascinating to do another in-depth "intake-type"
interview with this patient, as the same details of the OCD now resonate
with their cause and original function (protective superstition against
inner feelings), whereas before they stood alone as a possessing evil
arising from outside.

In any case, the symptom was indeed encased in an analysis of the totality,
as would be necessary for working with it.
