Eczema with the modality of worse in the sun, better in the winter. I can't find many Rx. Any ideas? Not much else to go on with this 3 yr old - old looking child. Oh yes there is constipation with hard large stool. Yet another one on the lactulose and senna!!None of the usual fears and although plays well on her own can be stubborn especially over food. However this latter problem is usually IMO children picking on their mother's insecurities. Basically I said that since she is not under nourished ignore it if she won't eat and stop offering her choices. She will eat when she is hungry!! I noticed that her hands were cold and clammy but don't feel this is a Calc child.

Skin eruptions >> winter - kali bich, sars - comes on in the spring and that
is why the winter >>. These are mixed temperature modalities in as much she
feels cold and clammy to the touch but skin is >> winter (because of the
cooler weather??). Which of these modalities are most important, are they
particular to the eczema or general to her whole nature?

Graphites likes the cold, as does petroleum and what about Sulphur? Silicea
feels cold and clammy as do the calcs

I think I would combine the > winter/cold general rubrics to
start and observe her actions some more - is she lively, sluggish etc

By the way, Sars also has an old looking face as well as >> winter and
obstinate constipation, and lots of skin conditions.

Best, Joy

Interesting you mentioned Silica. I actually gave a Rx I have never used before Sanic 30C. This Rx seems to be a mixture of silica (eating problems and stubbornness) Calc (clammy hands) . Both have Milk desire and skin problems. She has eczema the whole time but it flares up badly in the summer. Mum reckons she is chilly. She drinks a lot of water - not that this is in Sanic particularly. It is Dr R's favourite Rx and he reckons it is an under used polycrest. It has constipation in children in it and this started in the last 12 months since she became finicky with her eating.I am interested to see what it does if anything!! She didn't sit and do nothing much like a Calc. She was very industrious and did lots of drawings (scribbles inn bright colours) which she called patterns and also things associated with a fun fair. There is a lot of scratching at night during sleep so I am presuming that agg warmth of the bed is the rubric here.
We will see. Thanks for your thoughts.

Graphites ? modalities match and stool matchs and the food issue matchs.
Graphites very similar to Calc physically but opposite modalities.

There is no honey like exudation form the eczema which is dry. However it was Graphites that cured a little boy who was a lot worse than this girl and again there was no exudation. He was , however very cold. I will look at this again Liz and that last case where Graphites cured!!
Thanks
