mold exposure

i am looking for an acute rx for mold exposure. mold is from 2 sources: general wet climate conditions with lots
of mold in air and on plants and exposure to unidentified molds in 2 basements. this is said only to validate the
the condition.

sx are constant lite tickling in upper trachea
chest feels a bit oppressed-the energy isnt clear in the lungs. very slight nasal drip--clear.
some post-nasal drip--feels like mucous (thick). this postnasal drip actually soothes the tickle a bit.

some anxiety that this might become chronic. this is based on a history of similar sx that went on for a very
long time.

rx that i have come up with all seem to be major polychrests. would like some feedback from others.

Would be useful to have more modalities and how the person reacts to this
state on other levels. I would want to rule out or confirm, e.g. Dulc, the
Solanums, Rumex, just for starters.

best, Joy

Tanya I do not prescribe on the basis of cause exclusively so i am not sure
about the issue of mold. But have you considered Baryta Carb. The emotional
aggravation is worse thinking of symptoms. I have used this remedy quite a
few times for autistic children that develop obsessive feelings of the
throat tickling. If you look at the symptoms of Baryta carb it covers nicely
the sensation of swallowing being soothing. It is also a nice damp remedy.
I do not know if you consider that this would cover exposure to mold? Liz

there are not many modalities to report--that is a problem. but let's see. chest seems to be better in open air.
tickling not bothersome when sleeping--it begins when sitting up in morning and continues most of day--that is a typical response to chest problems. there is a hx of lung problems--coughs that hang on forever. old problems seem to have a theme of tickling, burning, dry; difficult to expel mucous from lungs. this is characteristic.

the dampness is in the atmosphere--very rainy weather with lots of mold in air; basements which hold moisture and breed mold. this is a typical condition in the region.

reaction to mold seems to have started in past few years (5-6?)

will read up on the rx's suggested

Any changes in anything else (sleep, mentals, appetite/thirst, habits,
thoughts, sensations, whatever?), during the time around and before this
started?

Do you know what their constitutional remedy is or might be?

the answer is no to all your questions. the modalities presented are slim. as to constitutional rx?
good guess. many rx have 'worked.' many have helped on pieces of the puzzle. none have
hit the center. lots of grief in history, fears, anxiety. lots of childhood abuse/abandonment issues.
woman feels that much has changed in her life w/homeopathy, but not some core issues.
the list of rx is very long.

in chinese medicine, grief is harbored in the lungs i believe.

there has been a history of lung illnesses, starting with whooping cough/bronchities simultaneously at age 8-9.

I think that when there is such a history which involves a weakness within
the lungs this case hints at something more chronic than acute - a chronic
state with acute flare-ups - which is why you might have to enlarge the
boundaries of the case somewhat to help confirm the remedy required.

Best wishes, Joy

Carbo veg has 'never been well since whooping cough' and also a host of
interesting delusions, fears and anxieties, including 'delusion deserted and
forsaken'. Might be worth a look at.
