Beautiful, Joy!
Reminds me of a similar one with my little guy (8). Normally he doesn't get
headaches, but suddenly one night he complained, in a surprised voice, that
his head hurt, and over a rather short time went from complaining, to
shrieking, holding his face (tho he said the pain was at the lower back of
his skull), with an expression (when hands were down to show the expression)
that looked stunned, almost dazed with the pain, alternating between quiet,
anguished sobs, and shrieks. At that point I couldn't get any more
information from him, because he seemed barely conscious of anything other
than his pain.

Tho Bell wasn't the only remedy I considered, it seemed the obvious first
thought, and was the one I chose (violence, suddenness, shining eyes, dazed
expression) and within an amazingly short time (minutes or less) he had
fallen asleep (this came on just at bedtime). He needed a couple more doses
(I used 30's) over the course of the night, but then it was behind us, and I
guess I will never know just what it was that we avoided (grateful "whew"!).
The next day he was a little tired, but otherwise entirely normal.

Yes, I have had a similar story with my child also. Came home from school
complaining she couldn't breathe properly. On walking a short distance had
to sit down. By the time we got back home she was really distressed. She
managed a shower and went straight to bed. She couldn't sleep - she needed
to be propped up , she became delerious, with that glazed stunned look and
lo and behold she had to bright red cheeks and began clutching at her throat
in great distress. 1 dose of belladonna 30 and she fell fast asleep. I
actually woke her up 15 mins later to give her another dose. Next day - was
I ever sick mum?
