I'm interested to see that under the rubric "Reserved", Phos is a 3 -- the
only 3, in fact, out of a rather large rubric. I do understand that "the
other side" of phos is withdrawn and burnt-out so would expect to see it in
that rubric, but am surprised to see it as 3 (and esp. as the *only* 3).
Can anyone comment?

I am surprised, as you were, that other remedies did not appear as higher
grades in the "reserved" rubric. I first thought of Baryta Carb... and it
is not even IN the rubric! Lots of anxiety, fear, escape in Baryta
Carbonica, but I guess it just did not make the "reserved" list. A subtle
difference, I suppose.

In the Reverse Combined, Phosphorus is also the ONLY remedy in
"Affectionate, returns affection"! And it is unique in "Ailments, from
music". And "Anguish, alone, when, " and "Anguish, stormy weather, in",
"Answers, unsatisfactory" (that might be like reserved...), plus "Anxiety
conscience, no rest night or day, prevents." Thankfully, Phosphorus is
alone in "Anxiety, pains, from the, anus." And in "Bite, about him, bites"
as well as "Bite, paroxysmally, bites."

Here is another unique Phosphorus rubric that might compare with "reserved":
"Children, watchful, on look for every gesture."

This symptoms seems as if it would be common, too, but again, only
Phosphorus is listed:
"Confusion, cold, after taking, >."

There are a lot more examples, but I think the point is that the
repertories are just not complete. It is important to KNOW the materia
medica, and just rely on the repertories to remind us of remedies we may
have forgotten... I bought my first software program so I could search the
materia medica for symptoms I knew I had read about, but could not remember
where!

Thanks for bringing the "reserved" rubric to my attention, though. I have
also used "timidity", I think... not quite the same, but....
