Ideas required for patient who is to have a prostate biopsy via the rectum. Because the endoscope (?) and clippers will pass through the wall of the rectum to the prostate there is a good chance that infection will occur he has been told !!

What are listees ideas for Rx?

I thought of Ledum 30 for puncture wounds which may also curb any infection and Calendula 6 for fast healing. Presumably he will be given the ubiquitous antibiotics anyway. He is going in as a day patient and the anaesthesia will be local (which is more than I got years ago for a cervix biopsy!!!!)

You may consider Collinsonia canadensis.

- Lastly, we sometimes have to antidote chloroform, and because there are
pains and aches you will get no action from these medicines; you can
antidote your chloroform almost instantly by a dose of Phosphorus, because
it is the natural antidote of chloroform.
- Phosphorus will stop the vomiting.
- Phosphorus has vomiting like that of chloroform.
- Phosphorus likes cold things, cold water in the stomach, and vomits as
soon as water has become warm in the stomach"

Thanks. Needless to say I don't have that Rx in stock!! I wondered about Staph but also Ledum as the initial wound may be more of a puncture wound . It's one to prevent infection that I am after. Anyone else got any ideas please?
