I have just realised that somehow I managed to send this post to myself yesterday instead of to the list!! I have spoken to him today and other than a tingly sensation it is still swollen later on in the day. Because of his angina and having an angioplasty I have told him to make an appointment with his GP for tomorrow but to take an Apis 30 tonight. I wanted to send him Stroph. but I can't find the bottle of pillule I thought I had which means they must be with my Mum!!!

Dear Rochelle, this is the bermuda triangle case, yes?

Tricky one really because it could be his allopathic meds that are causing
the swelling. Have you checked what type of swelling/oedema it is, whether
it is pitted or not.

Apis is usually very hot and red - Kali carb?? - swellings that shine =
Alum, ars, sulph ++ others.

But as you have given him the apis, wait and see now.

Yes it is the Bermuda case. He phoned this morning and said that there was no swelling so I said not to take any more Apis unless it swells up again. He also said that he was going to stop taking the ACE inhibitors as these were the last medication giving to him after the steroids. I told me that he should not do that without consulting his doctor at least with a phone call and I have written that in my notes and had it signed by the student I had sitting in on my clinic today!!! I have just phoned now (evening) and he said that after doing a lot of walking today it began to swell up again so he took another Apis and rested it and it has gone down a lot. He will phone me on Monday. The oedema is not very hot and is not pitted. Ars of cause is interesting because of his anxiety . However I am leaving it at the moment. Am not going to prescribe for him unless I have to at the moment as he is due to go on holiday soon and I will see him again on his return. The periodicity of the infection appears to be 6 weeks so it will be interesting to see if it returns or not.

Arsenicum of course for periodicity and Carb sulph has this as well (many rx
do) and Carb sulph has small festering ulcer like wounds - worth a look if
ailments return.
