regardingcontraceptive pillsIam anew member to the group. But Iwant to know
any one using pills in homoeopathy.If so, please, explain. Many of my
patients are asking ,whether any homeomedicines are there forcontraception.

I agree; the OCP is very much a "maintaining cause" for most women.
Generally I find that if a woman does not agree to change her method of
contraception to a barrier method (I find they are not suppessive), the case
does not progress.

Having said that I am mindful of a woman I treated last year for a golden
staph infection she acquired when in hospital for her first pregnancy,
having gone in just after having her legs waxed!
She is very fit; vital (runs ultra-marathons; ran up Mt Kilamanjaro in the
first trimester of her frst pregnancy!)
Constitutionally she's Ferrum-phos and a real bleeder; the OCP makes her
life more tolerable and I didn't find it interfered with her treatment.
That's an exception though.

Hello everyone,
I am relatively new to this forum and have been following with interest the
various lively debates and exchanges.
I have been qualified for about 7 years now and have two busy clinics in
south London, one within a GP NHS practice. I also run students' tutorials and a
busy low cost students' clinic once monthly.

I find that most of my patients who take the contraceptive pill do quite well
on homepathic treatment ; I just adjust the dosage to take into account the
pill layer, and eventually they come round to exploring alternatives. It's like
the homeopathy helps the person to reconnect with the fact that they have
choices and most are able to renew their choices. I don't 'shut the door' on
people who are on the pill, I just support them the best I can with homeopathy,
until they are in a different space and are able to change. Most of the time
this happens, which for me is much better than pushing the person into a corner
and say to them 'I can only treat you if you come off the pill'.

I am reminded of the answer I received when I asked the same question
of my mentor: Homeopathy cures disease, nothing more, nothing less.
Conception is not a disease. How can a homepathic remedy go against
life?

I think allare going out of the question.Allknow there are no medicines to
make the body function abnormally . But some body told me they took
homeomedicine as contraceptive pillsIwant to know how much this is true Did
any one tried giving homeo medicines for this purpose.If so what is the
medicine?.

I wonder whether the person meant they'd taken potentized contraceptive
pills, maybe in order to resolve problems caused by the pills?

Has she looked into various methods of "natural birth control", e.g.
involving familiarity with her ovulatory cycle?

Do you know the name of the doctor, or have you been able to ask her the
name? (I suppose you would have mentioned that if you had the name, but
thought I would ask.) Sometimes people apply the term "homeopathic" to
things which really have nothing to do with homeopathy, and I would assume
this is one of those cases, but would be fascinated to know just what she
was using!
