I recently had a case. Girl child,6, with considerable
dispnoea was brought by her grandfather. The child,
though was brought in by bicycle, suffered much by the
small walk into my house. It took her twenty minutes
to talk. And when talked, did freely and was very
communicative. Under homoeopathic tratment for three
years, was prescribed mixtures over mixtures and when
things got out of hand the 'good' homeopath had even
sent home a bottle of betnesol( betamethozone). The
wheezing did not subside.

I asked whether the child was better outdoors. Finding
no clear clue , took her to my open stairs. It was 8
pm and was windy and somewhat chilly. The child
clinged to her grandpa and said in a shivering tone
let's go! let's go!

The grand father then went on saying that these
attacks are always worse after midnight, the child
unable to breathe would sit up and will lean on her
grandma and go to sleep ! They were enduring this
torture for three years.

Now,to find the remedy you might prefer a repertory. I
now ask you to use only one repertory and find the
remedy as it comes.
My first dose stopped the wheezing.

This is just to show how each repertory throws up its
own remedy.

repertory for that rx!! )

The rubrics available from the case of the child were

1. Respiration, Difficult, asthmatic

Sitting amel is curious. This will decide in
elimination
1.Synthesis:

The remedy chosen was nux v and the 30 th one dose
stopped the wheezing. the relapse came the fourth day
and nux did not work again. This time it was only
cough. I had seen some open blisters on her legs from
thigh downwards on first interview. I now knew where
it was proceeding. Nux v's natural complementary with
skin predominance and the child becoming less chilly
was unmistakably sulph. 30,200,1m on three days.

The point is connection between the case and the
repertory. Boger's was neat and organised and I
arrived at the similimum in a jiffy.( in fact I
consulted only Boger's. the analysis was after the
case was cured)

To joy: I did not see any prescriptions from the
previous practitioner. I know that in three years the
child was receiving only mixtures and finally the
deadly steroid and no point in asking for his rx.

The case demanded no special skills and was that
'simple' hence the name of the posting. I wanted the
group to focus on the essential case and I did not
mention the skin and another mental sx: the child,
during the attack, would say, why I am singled out for
this torture ? Will you all pray for me.
