ANNOUNCEMENT: Invitation to Volunteers for 2004 (off topic)
Posted: Tue Aug 12, 2003 5:58 am
Dear List,
I wish to extend an invitation to you to experience a unique opportunity --
come to Kenya as a volunteer in the Abha Light programme. Whether for 6
weeks or 6 months, your help is needed, your contribution is valued.
This is an exciting opportunity for any homeopath. On one hand, you will
have great opportunity to serve the poor and on the other hand, you will
have a new clinical experience seeing a lot, a lot of pathological &
interesting cases. It may give you a new perspective on the wide
versatility of homeopathy.
We need volunteers prepared to
--go out on mobile clinics to various villages and slums. These mobiles are
important to our strategy of introducing homeopathy in places where we
intend to place graduating students later on. While on the mobiles, the
students will be acting as your translator. This is their opportunity to
observe homeopathy in action and get clinical experience.
--teach elementary homeopathy in weekend seminars. The students are from
the villages and slums, a bit unsophisicated, but very willing to learn
homeopathy.
Other activities-opportunties are there as well. The Tuesday street
children's clinic. The HIV programme. Nearly 25% of our patients are HIV+.
You can choose your sphere of activity -- either focusing on teaching -or-
on the mobiles -or- a little of both.
Please visit our website and send in an application:
