Update is that this morning he told me he has had sweats in the night and needed a fan (it is very hot in UK at the moment and we don't have AC) and throat feels as if it is more closed over. Wife has looked down and can't see any white patch on the tonsils. At least he is not going to work today!! He saw his allopathic doctor yesterday who prescribed penicillin - which he has not taken and pain killers!

Again, it could be Baptisia, which I think I suggested for the young boy.
Why do you dislike taking acutes so much

Good question!! I have had to think hard for the answer. I think it is because I have to think on the spot and results are expected immediately or the patient will go to the GP. I also prefer work with M & E as opposed to Physicals.

Just to let you know that this patient is up and about and went to work today and says all symptom gone or rapidly subsiding!! All I prescribed was the Ars I./Gel/Eupat 30 tds. Now the question has to be was it the combo or the natural progression of the disease!!
Anyhow I had a really complex one in today who I told to tell his GP to send him to the School of Tropical Medicine in Liverpool as I reckon he may have a parasitic infection. I will write it up later in case anyone can give me a clue how to handle it. He came in as an emergency as his wife said he was suicidal and at least I calmed him down with EFT if nothing else.
