I hate acutes again!!!

Male presented with the same sort of symptoms as his son that I gave Hell. 30 to the other day except he is not painfree and his son was..

Started suddenly on Friday presenting as aches ad pains in joints, glands swollen and indurated in neck which are tender to touch, sore throat with white patch on left tonsil, rest of throat looked a deepish red. Fevers in waves, no set time. When he gets them he feels listless and wants to lie downand keep still, then he goes back to normal. "I feel like a little old man with a big effort to stand up. Tongue white at the back (not as thickly coated as his son's)- the rest looks clean and red . With the fevers he can feel hot to touch but is chilly. He is also breaking out in sweats. There is a pain at the back of the eyeballs and he is sensitive to light. He is not hungry and doesn't want to eat because his throat is so sore. If he gets thirsty he wants cold water. He has enjoyed an ice cream. Sleep is disturbed and he is restless and hot with sweats.

Can anyone come up with anything definite remedy wise from that lot???
