chronic soft stools

1. Constipation soft, sticky stools persisting for more than 15
years. Painless. > after breakfast.Answers only to the amoebicide (
Consistency maintained for a month then again sticks).
Loner.Irritable. Intellectually inclined.Philosophical.Creative
talents. Curious. Contradiction agg. Stammer since childhood ( Mild
to Moderate). Slim. age 38. 70 kg.Height 5'11'.Sharp features. Though
stammering, loquacious. Loves animals( dogs). Conscientious. broods
over insults and bitter incidents. Meditation sometimes aggravates
all symptoms leading even to rage. Excercise agg and started losing
flesh.< heat. Anger on contradiction. loves sweets. Hates raw milk
but can tolerate when milk smell is suppressed with chocolate
additives. Hates buttermilk and curd( which is served in India as a
course with boiled rice and eaten daily). Blood filled vesicles on
testes itching sometime leading to bleeding.Intake of food normal.
Vegetarian.
I started reading homeo books for a way out of this. Though my
library is now 100 books big, with synthesis ,kent, phatak, and
Boger's repertories, and though I have successfully cured ( sometimes
accidentally too)many, my condition curiously remains altered.
Nat mur failed upto 1m, lyco failed upto 10 m, sulphur failed upto 1m.
Lachesis produced a shooting muscular back pain and discontinued. Nux
vom caused distress as my mental symtoms aggravated. Only pulsatilla
200 was seen as palliating and the sticyness was removed. Softness
remained. Natmur 200 calms down my nerves when sometimes I realise I
am shooting up for nothing.
Can you friends read me differently and suggest your remedy?

Hi Patricia,
I thought the bowel nosodes were usually given as a single dose of 30c; but
since you say "for two weeks" I gather you do something else -- describe?
Thanks,
Shannon

Since I don't know the remedy I don't know if it's relevant, but I find
this: MALE; TUMORS; blood tumors, testes: cob-n.

There seems to be a large "hint" of Sulphur in this case.
As it hasn't responded to Sulphur I'd be inclined to try the bowel nosode
Morgan pure for 2 weeks.

Ah, that makes sense.
Do you mean that she might need to change potencies as often as each week?
Have you had people take doses daily, or usually less often? (I have only
slight experience with LMs, and none at all with bowel nosodes, so am trying
to build a frame of reference...)
Thanks,
Shannon

Dear Shannon
If I use the centisimals [Bowel Nosodes] (30C) I give very few doses.
However with such a chronic (intractable?) problem I'd prefer to work with
the LM potencies going up potencies at the point of aggravation and watching
and waiting until bowel symptoms normalise.
As this person has had the problem for such a long time several of the LM
potencies may be needed over the space of several weeks.

Patricia

Dear Patricia & Shannon,
Thanks for your insight. You have opened an altogether new path.
Bowel nosodes were never considered by me and have only read about a
case that was cured with Proteus ( Bach). This is excellent stuff and
immdtly on seeing your message studied these remedies and Morgan pure
and Gaertner both come close. You see in India we mainly use the c
potencies. If I were to use LM potencies, what would be your choice?
As Dr Paterson has guided, these nosodes can be given high when
mentals dominate and low when pathology dominates? In my case the
share seems equally divided. Tellme your suggestion.

Dear Shannon
If the prescribed dose of a LM is appropriate (ie not too strong) there
should be immediate amelioration and this should persist until such time as
the Vital Force becomes "resistant" to that particular potency and shows
signs of aggravation. When that point is reached is an individual response.
It may take hours, days or weeks; close monitoring is needed. I fully inform
my patients re what to expect and ask them to get back to me asap when the
picture changes.
I then go up to the next level or may skip a level and again wait for
aggravation.
When there is persistent aggravation; cure is reached!
However, if there is an immediate aggravation from a LM it is more likely
due to the prescription of too high a dose rather than an inappropriate
remedy. In that case all one needs to do is stop taking the Rx and the
aggravation dies within 24 hours. It's then good to wait a day and when all
is settled re-prescribe the same Rx but with a much more dilute dose. This
new dose is then taken until aggravation.
The LMs are great as they give wonderful latitude especially for very young,
very old or very sick patients. The aggravations are minimal and
short-lived. Even though they are "gentle" I've successfully used them in an
emergency acute; they just need repeating in that instance bd or tds or even
4 hourly depending on the situation.
I've also successfully used them following the use of a high centisimal (1M)
when after a time the symptoms reappear and the Rx needs to be
re-prescribed; to then go up a scale in the LMs can give wonderful results.
regards
Patricia

Dear Joy,
24 hours after taking the Tarax: The eczema disappeared abruptly. The diarrhea got much worse -- looser and more urgent, starting right after breakfast, with some abdominal cramping (mild). I think I slept differently last night -- more normally (was sleepy at bedtime, woke up definitively around 7:30, after 8 hours). And I was really lethargic and sleepy during the day.
I looked up Gaertner, having read Patricia Hatherly's comment about the recurring rash under the watch band, which drives me crazy. Some days I can't wear a watch at all because of it. I knew nothing about the remedy, but we might want to keep it in mind. The connection with celiac disease, which runs through our family, and which has been a part of the GI symptoms for me, off and on, was especially interesting.
Thanks. Rosemary

Dear patricia,
very well. I'll do as suggested. My local drugstore does not have
these nosodes. I'll mail order them.
I have in mind a project. To compile a software version of Boger's
repertory in the same way boger envisioned. Each chapter complete
with location, sensation, modalities and concommittants. This project
I want to gift to fellow homeopaths as a free downloadable one. Any
suggestions?
Even Cara which I tried there is no way one can hit the remedy
easily. It is haphazardly arranged. The all important concommittants
are totally missing. (By The way are you using Boger's rep?)
