Allergic to dogs

does anybody know if there is any distinction in remedies for a person who
is allergic to short-haired breeds of dogs, but not long-haired. I am about
to see this patient this morning, so will consider all the usual remedies
for allergies to dogs, but this is specifically short-haired breeds.

Thanks for any input,
Rhonda

Hi Rhonda!

Are you aware of the fact that it´s not really the hairs that cause the allergic reaction, but the saliva?
So length of hairs should not matter

Greetings
Irene

Perhaps it is because short haired dogs shed more than dogs with a furry
undercoat? The latter tend to shed in clumps.
