Digest Number 1072 and low potencies

Hi Elham,

I agree that low potencies have a broader sphere of action. Someone and I
can't remember who came up with the term, 'Close-enoughicum'. While there
may only be one Similimum at any given time, there are several
Close-enoughicums. If this weren't true, people going into health food
stores and buying 6Xs based on the label indications would very seldom get
better and they do. Hahnemann went back to the practice of medicine after
having proven less than a dozen remedies and he was getting good results
using low potencies. I was taught to use the high potencies only when I was
sure of the remedy and otherwise use low because if it was close, it could
bring the case to cure. I think it was helpful to present that case in
point to the list. Thank you.

Yours,
Shirley Reischman

Sometimes you just have to get it right; other times, close will be good
enough! (More likely if the pt is rather strong, the ailment not too deep,
etc. More likely with self-limiting conditions, where all the VF needs is a
little "boost".)
