Puls/Fats

On doing a library search in EH it seems that most authors describe Puls as having a problem with and particularly pork fat. If tallow etc were used in making pastries, this also would upset their stomachs. The same authors, with regard to butter, describe the same problem not seeming to occur in the stomach unless it was rancid.
I then had a look at the proving from Allen's and there were only 24 - 27 provers, Hahnemann being the only one who had a problem with fat :
(in Chronic Disease also)
and again, Hahnemann as the prover:
(these 3 lines are the only reference to butter I couls find in Allens and in Chronic Diseases)
Hahnemann says in Chronic diseases (this is the only reference to pork I could find)
This would lead me to believe that it is from clinical experience that this aversion/desire to fat may have arisen - unless there has been another proving that I haven't looked at.
As an aside, Hahnemann also says
When i see rubrics that have a general feel like this, I usually check with Hering or other such publication to verify the more exact meaning. I feel this is the only way to correctly use the repertory!
