3 yr old who loves milk/Leber's Optic Neuropathy

Hi Joy,
Thanks for your wonderful insights! Something else I found interesting in
this case is when asking about the health of the father (as I had already
treated the Sepia mum several days earlier) I learned he has this disorder
which I had never heard of called Leber's Optic Neuropathy. Yet another
question, does anybody know anything about it? Dad was born in England, and
really wanted to be a dairy farmer, but contracted this disease at age 18,
and was told he couldn't be a good farmer so studied something else instead.
At this point, my mind wondered off and I was trying to figure whether the
strong desire for the child enjoying her milk so much came about due to her
daddy encouraging milk consumption - probably irrelevant- but I do confess
to temporarily losing what the mum was telling me about this disorder! The
snippets I remember are that central vision is not there, his peripheral
vision kicks in when looking at something, and it seems to be the opposite
to tunnel vision. Dad's sister also has this disorder, contracted in her
late teens/early 20's as well.
Anyway, I'm rambling, but very interested in any replies,

but this rubric might apply to the dad, if the neuropathy is simply a blind spot (Scotoma-(Yasgurs)=blind spot--an area of pathologically reduced vision within the visual field):
