Trapped/Catarrh

Just had an update from the patient. Rx Kali Bi 30 tds since last Thursday.
1. She feels slimmer since cutting out milk products. I suggest that she did this to help the catarrh!!!

2. Over the weekend she went to Yorkshire where the air was dry and said the catarrh was a lot better. She could breathe in and out both nostrils.

3. Monday morning she found she could breathe freely when she woke but by lunchtime at work with nylon carpets and a hot classroom where the windows don't open much she was blocked up again.

4. This morning it took her 3/4 hour instead of the usual hour to blow the catarrh out of her nose. Each morning it is a little clearer but by lunch time it is blocked again.

5. No headaches since starting the remedy and she was getting them every day, waking with them

6. Pressure in her nose is less and her nose is not swollen anymore but feels normal.

7. Eyes aren't as heavy looking and are brighter

Unfortunately I didn't have her notes by my side when she phoned as now I realise there were alot more questions I needed to ask like what was the colour of the discharge now.

Anyhow I have arranged that she continues the Kali Bi 30 - now I never repeat Rx for over a week but because of all the steroids inhalers she takes.........- and phone me again in a week. I also have to remember that this is an acute situation after a cold so could be resolving itself. Her husband thinks that she is talking clearer but she still sounded blocked up to me over the phone.

Rochelle

Rochelle,

I was looking at my notes over catarrh and things and found a couple of
remedies you might want to consider:

hydr 6x/med 12c/kali bic 6x as a combo (the kali bich can be substituted
with kali carb or other remedy depending on the colour/consistency of the
catarrh (yellow, white, claggy, stringy, etc)

the other is clay/yellow/thuja 9x as a combo (Helios do it as a combo if you
ask them) which will work if the previous remedy of hydr/med/kali bic
doesn't. They are both great sinus drainage remedies

Eleana
