Hi Betty? (Don't think this was from Jean)
There is a brand new list for classical homoeopathy for animals.
Folks are still signing up so replies may be a little slow and many
of those that can contribute are often very busy to fit in
responses...me included . Take a look at joining
I am sure this list, or the new one for animals, can help with
offerings of ADVICE, though we are not here to state that we can help
your animal companion directly . How you decide to care for your
kitten will be entirely up to you after digesting some thoughts from
contributors on the list or anywhere else you have sought
assistance/advice. Your findings may help you decide that there are
some ideas worth trying, or they may suggest that you seek veterinary
attention. Eyes are delicate structures that need careful
consideration.
Having said this, in order to offer our thoughts, it would be helpful
to have more information about the kitty so that we have a better
idea of what might be going on with the kitty.
Eg. Do you have the litter or only this one kitty? If you have the
litter do any of the other kits have any apparent health problems? Is
the mother there..is the kitty still suckling? Had this kitty opened
it's eyes initially a few days after birth and now has begun to not
open one eye, or has it not opened the eye since birth? As Shannon
pointed out..is there any discharge and could this be causing the
eyelids to adhere? Is it the left ot right? Could she have an injury
(eg. playing with other kitties resulting in a scratch to the
eye..presuming that it was open before)? Does the kitty express any
discomfort..is it crying more than expected, is the eye sensitive to
touch, does it feel hot, does it appear swollen, is there any excess
tearing????? Is there any discolouration of the other open eye? Is it
eating and drinking? Are the bowel and urinary habits normal? Is
there anything else you can tell us about the kitty including her
temperament and antics (I realise she is young but you may have
noticed something special or unusual about her)?
Sorry for all the questions but shearly saying the eye is not opening
is a big stab in the dark for us
Cheerz, Tan.
