Hi all,

I have a female client who is premenopausal and had breast cancer which was
treated with chemo and radiation 6 years ago. After the removal she has
used natural treatments and homoeopathy and no recurrence of the cancer has
occurred. On taking her case in the clinic she now presents strongly as
needing Carcinosin.

I am an experienced homoeopath and have oftened wondered about this
situation but have never been faced with it before. Prior to this I have
been of the belief that I would always prescribe the indicated remedy, but
find myself hesitating. My question is does any homoeopath on the list have
experience prescribing in this situation? I have done all the reading and
know the arguments, but was just wanting to hear if anyone has actually been
in this position.

I have used it a few times in the past with cancer patients and no problems,
then I am using it actually within the Ramakrishnan protocol for cancer,
hence it seems very much indicated, all the more if the whole case is well
covered with Carcinosin.

I too have used it a few times, with and without the Ramakrishnan protocol,
for patients with cancer, including one with recurrent cancer. It certainly
doesn't cause any problems. In t he case of the recurrent cancer, it WAS
the indicated remedy for a while, for several months before the recurrence
became obvious.

The patients with primary cancer responded very well. However, in no case
was Carcinosin the only remedy needed . First, these cases tend to evolve
through layers -- the cancer is the ultimate result of a rather tangled,
very deep disease process. Second, nosodes, helpful as they are, generally
don't actually cure the primary disease from which they were made. Dr.
Ramakrishnan's protocol requires using it as a nosode, intercurrently with a
constitutional or organ specific remedy, depending on the other indications
of the case. I think that's an important aspect of its use with patients who
have cancer.

Dear Lorraine,
I have a few patients who thankfully are in remission from cancer and have come to me because they wish to stay that way or have other problems that have come up. I have no hesitation in prescribing Carcinosin when it is the indicated remedy and have found it to be very helpful to them. I have also found no problems from prescribing it so far. Maybe my confidence in prescribing it comes from the fact that I have attended Dr Ramakrishnan's Cancer seminars and he prescribes it with no hesitation.
