I wonder if I could present a case that I didn't resolve, that the list may have some thoughts on. The patient only came 3 times, and told me as she sat down at the start of the third visit that this would be her last visit(3 strikes and you're out!)

71y.o. Presenting with pockets of pus in her throat for past 12 months. Described intense dryness of the throat. Left side of throat throbbing, aching. Was on Lipitor(cholesterol medication) for 3 years, which she stopped taking, then the throat was okay for a few weeks. She described a pressure in the throat, like a closing of the airways after taking a preparation containing aspartame. She takes fibre supplements from the pharmacy(highly sweetened), which seems to give her a raspy throat. Sticking sensation occurs sometimes, which causes her to panic as she feels as she can't breathe. Specialists had ruled out thrush. On examination, pockets pus underneath her denture plate.

Has a post nasal drip since 12 months ago, much<<

I'm curious why you changed the remedy each time, as, despite her
protestations of "no change," you had potentially positive healing signs
both times. In the first instance, with Merc, some of her symptoms got much
better, and she said her energy was dramatically better. Then, on the
Nux-v, she seemed to be getting a return of old symptoms, and you changed
the remedy again. Obviously, you didn't tell us what made you decide that
these remedies weren't working, despite the more positive signs that they
may have been.

That being said, is it possible she might respond to Nit-ac? All the throat
pain, the wild goings-on in her sleep, the band around the head, the issues
around sweeteners, the constipation, the hypertension, the really sour
disposition with you.... FWIW
