Veternarian question...Submissive Urination

Hello!

I am wondering about where to find possible remedies to consider for the problem of Submissive Urination? This 4 month old puppy can come in from outside, and when we pet her, she urinates and rolls over on her back... I'm not wanting to continue this cleaning up unsanitary mess, and would like the problem resolved before purchasing new flooring... not to mention that I would like to help her get a grip on whatever emotional base is causing this problem. We've only had her 2 weeks. Although she's getting better regarding housetraining, this submissive urination problem is continuing.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

I would be looking at rubrics like "yielding", etc. and prescribe on the
total picture. There are no good "submissive urination" rubrics of which I
am aware. However, if this dog has a very submissive nature, there could be
a limit to your success as this is not a truly "abnormal" behavior.
