It is a valuable remedy in arthritic affections, esp
in gouty paroxysms.

There is a sudden onset of gouty or rheumatic pains
accompanied by marked stiffness in joints. The patient
desires motion but the pains are markedly aggravated
by motion. Aggravation by cold and wet (cold bathing,
damp weather,...) is also a prominent feature.

This remedy mostly affects the right side of the body.

'Chorea following suppression of foot sweat'

'Dulness and sleepiness with heaviness of eyelids'

It is compared with Bry, Dulc and Rhus-t.
