I agree with you, often enough we already have feeling of guild be it
we think we did something wrong, or we did not try enough to ease the burden
in illness, especially with cancer(as a family member i mean, and a
pet is just that for us)

Im personal also in favor of one remedy but i know that there are numerous people
who go for combo remedies with pets, they can not give us answers to
questions like humans can so many owners and practicers go for the easy
way out and look at combos. I have read combos for pets that make my
hair go up from horror.

I believe it was Annie here in the group said something about spleen
and Ceanothus, i have this little booklet ``Diseases of the spleen``
Burnett (http://www.minimum.com/).
Author speaks highly of this remedy for spleen, even in conjunction
with heart problem. Cases are being discussed in it (human related) other spleen
remedies too of course. He speaks very highly of it for fast relief of pain.

He says``like cantharis is clearly a kidneys remedy, digitalis for heart,
belladonna for arteries, Ceanothus is for spleen``

Many in group will debate this is guess.
He seem to be in favor in some cases of Rademacher`s organopathy.

I was musing about ceanothus. I don't know much about the remedy (did not
know, for instance, whether it has relationship with weak heart or not), but
I also have read fabulous things about its effectiveness with a high
percentage of spleen troubles. I don't know whether there's any reason not
to try it in this case. Does Burnett give suggested posology? E.g. if it's
appropriate to use in tincture, or very low potency, maybe that would be
appropriate.??? But, I'm totally out of my depth on this one, except to say
that excellent diet would seem to be a good start (and there are all sorts
of doggie supplements that perhaps could help? Veggies, algaes?), and I
*hope* she is able to get ahold of an appropriate prescriber.

I really liked George's line of thinking, noting that the dog has had
significant chronic problems from an early age and this is more likely the
explanation for the current problems. And/but, that same observation means
that the pup should be under care of someone who is very well-trained, with
a delicate and skillful "touch" with the remedies, understands miasms, as
well as good vet skills....

And Aileen, it sounds like your pup is still happy and enjoying life. Now
*that* is good news, from every standpoint! Because (a) in a way that's the
main thing, isn't it? (At least for a pet!) and (b) because that is a very
encouraging sign of strength in the vital force. So long as that vitality
is there, there's plenty of room for good work to be done! So, bon courage,
