Borax

Dear Lisa, here is my take on Borax.

This remedy has many strange sensations - as if cobwebs cover hands;
leucorrhea as if warm water flowing; very irritable in the afternoon at 4pm;
anxiety in the evening until 11pm; terrible fear of downward movement;
extremely sensitive to sudden noises; 'mouldy' taste and smell.

Borax is white and so whiteness predominates in ulcers, very pale and pasty
stools, red parts turn white, thrush has white discharge.

As Borax is an important child remedy it might be interesting to look at it
in a time line - from pre motherhood to growing child.....

alternating moods - abusive and affectionate; censorious and cheerful;
malicious and mild
angry in the afternoon at 4 pm
anxiety in the evening until 11 pm
very painful menses
episodes of thrush
leucorrhea as if warm water flowing
sterility
favours conception
exhilaration after coition (at the thought of being pregnant at last?)
extremely sensitive to noise during labour
terrible fear of downward movement (the birth canal and the first fear of
the child??)
pain in opposite breast to one that is nursing
great deal of anxieties and fears - sudden noises including thunder and
sneezing
child always looks full of fear
gastro symptoms - colic, nausea, diarrhoea but always >>> after stool
urine burns - red sediment in nappies
skin symptoms - ulcers, eczema (which can cause a loss of nails), psoriasis,
herpes
mucous membranes ulcerate, white, painful, especially mouth but can be
anywhere
hacking cough with a mouldy taste
sleepless, the child cries out, shrieks with fear, loses voice
great fear of downward motion, cannot be laid down to sleep, cannot be
rocked
anxieties and fears continue
effects the nerves
epilepsy develops, with fear, grabs onto something for security
epilepsy brought on by bright visions, or has these during fit
hair becomes matted
lashes turn inward and inflame eyelids
child develops the mood changes at 4 pm and 11 pm

and on the cycle continues.

Hope useful, best wishes, Joy

Dear Lisa

Joy has sent the complete picture of borax. I want to add a quick
note on the matter. It is really useful in cases which central
disturbance reflects in mucosal ulcers and aphthae, although there
is a lot of remedies under Mouth/Aphthae (like nat-m., caust.,
merc., bapt., sul-ac., etc.) I have got good results from
prescribing borax in a case of Behcet's syndrome. As you know it is
a syndrome in which the patient suffers from joint pains and mouth
aphthae and also genital aphthae. In Synthesis under the rubric
Genitalia/Male/Aphthae you can only find Borax. My chronic case of
Behcet's syndrome was a man of 35 who suffered almost 10 years from
his burning ulcerative mouth aphthae and also genital ones. The
result of borax was unbelievably good. Let me remind again that
there are a lot of remedies which can cover the rubric Mouth/aphtae
in Synthesis repertory.

Best Regards
Farbod

Hi All,

I want to thank all who have helped me with my question on Borax: Rochelle,
Joy, and H.B.--although I'm still not so clear on CAUSATION--any more
ideas?? Joy, were you implying that it had to do with fear beginning at the
time of birth with the first downward motion out of the womb? If so, then
what makes the Borax child particularly sensitive to this sensation that
most all of humanity must experience?

Warm Regards,

Lisa

Dear Lisa, yes I was suggesting the reason for this sensitivity, this comes
from talking with parents and they say the child was so frightened and
sensitive "from the moment they were born". And the fact that Borax is often
considered an important child remedy but not exclusively so.

But I am sure there might be other causations - 'fright' of any kind being a
main one, and this is coupled with noise and fears and anxieties about
health is also strong.

On a more general reason as to why any one individual might have this
tendency to fear of downward movement has to be looked at in an individual
case. It might be common to have a slight butterflies when going down a
lift, or even when the stomach feels as if it arrives in the upper chest,
but with a Borax case this is intensified to an nth degree, it will rule the
case, it is inappropriate to harmony of normal life + it will show other
aspects of the sx picture.

Does this help?

best, Joy

This is the smartest health group that will put up with me, so I ask you-all a lot of questions.

What do you-all know about borax or sodium tetraborate hexahydrate or sodium borate? I supplementation for boron necessary?
