ART - Muscle testing for polarity issues - off topic - delete if not interested....

greetings, I left your thread and respond with a yes.
If an agreed upon premise is that everything is energetic information, then
it follows that we have creatively constructed various manner of expressing
our observed understandings. I would suggest that rather than speaking of
reverse polarity, it would be preferrable to speak to the nature of the
reaction of the VF, which is one of aggravation.
In that context your use of points of great attenuation with known energetic
consequences requires firstly that you identify your understanding of how
certain points generate your observed consequences. This is the basis of
the channel systems in oriental medicine. Each point has some defined
energetic function, some on pathways, some not, & some with a known course
of action.
On the aside, it is a distinction learned between the two parallel paths:
the martial art and the healing art. They differ only by intention. They
each apply themselves to the same somatic locations; however, with different
intentions. By example, if you strike (gently) with your finger tips
midline between the nipples and muscle test thereafter you may very well
find that the organism is weakened. If you place your palm over the same
location and muscle test you may find the organism strengthened. The point
is called ren17. It is a point of great influence upon the 'chi' of the
body. A text which offers description of points is 'images & functions' by
arnie lade. Page 288 of that text defines and describes the point on the
head top which you used. It is called Du20, and its image is a place of
'hundred meetings'. Its function is to calm the spirit, revive
consciousness, clear the brain, spread the liver chi, subdue liver yang,
extinguish liver wind, restore collagsed yang, stabilise and regulate the
chi......
Points which you mention offer a similar analysis. The problem with muscle
testing is that it is not standardised and therefore lends itself to too
many variants and difficulty in the sharing of information. But the concept
that allows for an interpretation regardless of technique is that of the
energetic pathways of oriental medicine.
As techniques go I have found that it is necessary to firstly establish
whether the VF demonstrates a reaction, as in a strengthening or weakening
by muscle testing. Once a platform of reactivity of the VF is established
one is then able to evaluate the affects of anything brought within the
energetic zone of influence of the organism.
I mentioned recently a technique which I employ and would share it with you
again, but off site.
regards
