Hi Sylvain
I have had a little look at the Hering entries for both Calabar and
Physostigma and have found something interesting.
In the section of Calabar p.115 there are
references to 5 people with conditions. Doing a search in EH I found that
nowhere in Allens or Hering (other than Calabar) are these 5 cases to be
found. It is only in CALABAR. However, there are other symptoms recorded in
CALABAR which are to be found in PHYSOSTIGMA in both Allens and Hering.

Possible conclusion - that these are an error or that they are provings that
were added after the others or maybe they are poisonings. Maybe Julian
Winston may be able to solve this!

The two entries in Hering do not appear to be exactly the same to me. There
are symptoms in CALABAR that are not in Physostigma and vice versa.
